How we work

We do charity differently. We work alongside the most remote communities to create sustainable and scalable programmes centred around building local enterprise which in turn creates resilience to the climate crisis.

Our model begins by creating a local market for solar lights which means we can reach further, faster. It also creates sustainable income for our solar entrepreneurs while giving customers ownership over their lights.

Our Programmes

From supporting local entrepreneurs through training and finance to lighting up whole communities and finding ways to reduce e-waste, our programmes are varied but our approach is the same. We believe that everyone deserves access to clean, safe solar light.

Solar Entrepreneurs

We believe the best way to make long-lasting change is through creating a local market. We do this by training and supporting entrepreneurs to sell solar lights. This creates sustainable income and business opportunities for the entrepreneur as well as, customers rather than beneficiaries.

Where we work

We work in the most remote communities in some of the poorest countries on earth.
