The Big Give Challenge is an amazing opportunity to get your donation to SolarAid DOUBLED. Thanks to the Mohamed S. Farsi Foundation and the Big Give themselves any donation you make (up to £5k) on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th will be matched.
This means that a £30 donation will help get lights to 20 families in Africa – saving them nearly £800, encouraging an additional 7,500 hours of study and averting 3 tonnes of CO2 over the lifetime of the lights.
With the Paris Climate Summit just around the corner this is a great way to help usher in a cleaner future for the planet.
Now here’s the fun bit. This is a CHALLENGE. Not every charity will have their funds matched, only the ones with the most amazing supporters will. And of course that’s us right? The funds are matched on a first-come-first-serve basis so make sure you get in quick so not to be disappointed.
We’ve set ourselves the ambitious goal (not like us right?) of raising a whopping £40,000 which will then be matched giving a grand total of £80,000. Now that’s a lot of families accessing clean, affordable light for the first time.
What we need from you.
- Stand by your computers at noon on Friday 4th December when the first pot of match-funding will be released. The challenge will close for the day when the pot runs out so make sure you get in early.
- The challenge will then open again at noon on Saturday 5th December. So all those who didn’t get the opportunity to give on Friday, can have another crack.
