Fancy doing a sponsored event to raise funds for SolarAid's work in Africa? We take care of everything - you just have to raise the money and turn up. You can do a parachute jump, whitewater rafting, cycle in Cuba or Vietnam or go trekking in the Sahara, Peru, China or Iceland. If you raise enough in sponsorship, you get to participate for free!

Parachute jump
If you've ever wanted to do a parachute jump, here is your chance. SolarAid is looking for hundreds of adventurous volunteers to make a fundraising parachute jump. There are three types of jump available - an 'Accelerated FreeFall' where you can experience the thrill of skydiving solo from up to 12,000 feet, a 'Tandem Skydive' from 10,000 feet attached to a professional instructor, and a 'Static Line' jump that is performed solo from up to 3,000 feet. And you can jump from any one of over twenty British Parachute Association approved airfields across the UK. No experience is necessary as all training is given and if you raise from £290 (depending on the type of jump you choose) you will receive your jump for free.
Whitewater rafting
Ever wanted to have a go at whitewater rafting? SolarAid is looking for hundreds of adventurous volunteers to take part in a specially organised whitewater rafting adventure. Teams of six to eight people are required to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship for the charity and in return you will get to raft for free. No previous experience is required as all training is given and you can take part at any one of five exhilarating whitewater rafting courses across the UK.
Cycling in Cuba
SolarAid is looking for volunteers to cycle in Cuba, taking in some of the world's most breathtakingly beautiful landscapes. Prepare to be overwhelmed by Cuba's natural contrasting beauty - from the dazzling beaches and clear blue seas of the Gulf of Mexico to the vibrant city of Havana, you can't fail to be mesmerised by its traditional charm. For those of you in search of the challenge of a lifetime, Cuba won't fail to leave an indelible mark on you, providing you with memories thatwill last forever.
Trek in the Sahara
Would you like to trek in the Sahara Desert and take in some of the world's most breathtaking landscapes? Imagine the feel of the desert, dramatic sand dunes as far as the eye can see and mesmerising scenery beyond your wildest expectations. Trekking the Sahara Desert will provide you with an unbelievable experience you will never forget.
Trek in Peru
SolarAid is looking for volunteers to trek in the Lares region of Peru on a trail that will undoubtedly give you a true insight into Peruvian life. Immerse yourself in ancient Peruvian culture and experience diverse scenery such as tropical Andean rainforests, the snow capped mountain ranges of the Andes and of course Machu Picchu, one of the world's most important archaeological finds.
Do the Great Wall of China
Would you like to trek in China along part of The Great Wall, one of the wonders of the world? Immerse yourself in tradition, history and ancient mythology and experience something others will only ever dream of.
Travel in Iceland
SolarAid is looking for adventurous volunteers to trek in Iceland taking in the stunning Icelandic landscape. Imagine some of the worlds most spectacular wilderness areas in Europe with a mix of wild volcanic landscape, steaming lava fields, icecaps, waterfalls and much more.
Cycle in Vietnam
How about cycling in Vietnam and taking in some of the world's most wonderful landscapes? Prepare to be overwhelmed by Vietnam's natural contrasting beauty - from the patchwork of bright green rice paddies to the rugged mountains and white sandy beaches you can't fail to be mesmerised by its traditional charm! For those of you in search of the challenge of a lifetime, Vietnam won't fail to leave an indelible mark on you, providing you with memories which will last forever.
