Follow our useful tips to inspire and help you raise funds for SolarAid.
Step 1: Decide on your fundraising
Whether you want to take on a marathon, hold a bake sale, dive out of a plane or organise a dress up day, there are endless ways to raise funds for us.
Step 2: Set up an online fundraising page
We recommend setting up your online fundraising page as soon as possible, using JustGiving.
This is a simple way to raise funds for SolarAid. You can personalise your page with a story, images and details of your fundraising which can then be easily shared with everyone, and every penny comes directly to us – including Gift Aid!
Step 3: Promote your fundraising
To really make your fundraising a success, it’s a great idea to promote your efforts to as many people as possible. Tell everyone you know and share it on social media. We want to help too, so make sure you mention us in your posts! You can find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as @SolarAid.
Step 4: Check out our resources
We want to make sure you have everything you need to make your fundraising as successful as it can be! Take a look at our Fundraising Kit for useful tips and information to support your efforts in raising funds for SolarAid.
Step 5: On the day
With all the hard work and planning done, the only thing left is to enjoy the day!
Make sure to take plenty of photos, send them to us and post them on social media – it may help to bring in a few extra donations.
Step 6: Donate your funds
After your fundraising is over, there are a number of different ways you can donate what you have raised to SolarAid. Just take a look in your Fundraising Kit or get in touch and we will be happy to help.
