SolarAid and Firefly join forces to make a brighter future

SolarAid are teaming up Firefly Solar for the summer and beyond, helping promote the powers of solar energy.

Firefly Solar is the UK's first fully mobile, fully reliable solar power solution for the outdoor events industry. Firefly is a Brighton based Community Interest Company providing renewable power solutions and high-end technical production services. They are the creators of the 'Orion' solar powered generator, the UK's first fully mobile, fully reliable solar generator of its type offering up to 15Kw of mains voltage power. The Orion system is used to power a vast variety of equipment including PA systems, lighting, AV screens and computers.

Firefly tour the UK's largest, most high-tech solar event stage, powered entirely by the sun. The stage uses cutting edge LED lighting and top-end Turbosound PA, paired with Orion to deliver industry standard production with ZERO emissions. The Firefly Stage is available as a fully self-contained indoor live music venue for 700 people or an open air covered stage catering for up to 2000.

Firefly Solar was set up to help the events sector reduce its carbon footprint. Firefly is a carbon neutral company operating all of its own transport using UK produced Bio fuels from recycled cooking oil. Their offices are powered using renewable energy, all office supplies are sourced locally and ethically. Carbon emissions are monitored and offset.
